Loyalty is a great way to reward your clients for their time spent at your business. Your clients earn Kitomba Dollars when they spend money on services, retail, vouchers, and concessions.
Setting up your loyalty program
To allow clients to earn and redeem loyalty, you will first need to set up your loyalty program in Kitomba. View our Getting started with loyalty support guide for instructions on how to do this.
To view Loyalty settings in Kitomba 1, select the Settings button at the top right of the page, then Sales on the left, and then Loyalty.
Earn loyalty
Once your loyalty program is set up, clients can begin earning Kitomba Dollars. In this example, we will invoice an appointment to show loyalty earned on services.
1. Select the Appointments tab.
2. Select the appointment on the calendar and then the Make sale button.
3. Select the Take payment button.
4. Select the Complete sale button.
5. The Payment complete screen will show how many Kitomba Dollars have been earned for this invoice.
Redeem loyalty
To redeem Kitomba Dollars, the client must have the minimum number required to redeem – Before a client can redeem loyalty points, check your loyalty settings allow redemptions for the desired option (e.g., services). Additionally, the client must have at least the minimum required points. You can verify all this under your Loyalty settings.
In this example, we will invoice the same client for another appointment.
1. Select the appointment on the calendar and then the Make sale button.
2. The Redeem Kitomba Dollars option will be displayed if the client has enough loyalty to redeem. Select the amount and then the Redeem button.
3. The Kitomba Dollars discount will be applied to the sale. Select the Take payment button to process the payment for the remaining balance.
Bonus Kitomba Dollars
Clients can be awarded Bonus Kitomba Dollars, which adds loyalty to their account without requiring a purchase. In this example, we will use a walk-in invoice to show how to do this.
1. Go to the Appointments tab.
2. Select Add new and then Walk-in invoice.
2. Select Existing customer and enter the client’s name.
2. Enter “Bonus Kitomba Dollars” into the search field and select.
3. Enter the number of Kitomba Dollars to give the client.
4. Select the Take payment button. There will be no payment to process so go straight to Complete sale.
5. The number of Bonus Kitomba Dollars entered will be added to the client’s loyalty balance.
View a client’s loyalty balance
A client’s loyalty balance is shown under their name on their client card.
For more details, see the Account tab on the client card. Here, you'll see any Kitomba Dollars due to expire within 1 month, as well as any Kitomba Dollars that have expired.
