Credit notes should be used when a customer returns a product or wants a refund for a service.
When you raise a credit note you will have the option to give the customer a cash or Eft/POS refund, or a credit to the customer's account, or a mixture of refund and account credit.
Do not use a Credit Note for a deposit on a Future Appointment - use Payment.
Go to the Cards tab and select Manage Clients
Search and Select your Customer
Click C for Credit note
Enter items that are to be credited
Select Payment Type or Credit to Account
The Kitomba default for a Credit Note is a Cash Refund, i.e. "Change", as in the example below. If this is not what is happening, you can select a Payment type or click on the button to Credit to [the customer's] Account.
If you are entering a Payment type be sure to enter the Amount as a negative. In the example below you can see that $60 has been refunded to the customer's Eft-Pos account and $7.95 has been credited to their account:
