Cardless checkout makes finishing an appointment faster and easier. Staff can complete sales instantly—no terminals or cards needed—giving clients a smooth, contactless experience right from the salon chair or treatment room. Plus, you’ll have greater control by allowing card payments only on approved in-salon devices, keeping every transaction secure.
How clients can save a card to their account
Clients will be prompted to save their card when booking their appointments online if deposits or cancellation fees are enabled.
Clients can also save a card when booking appointments online, especially if you require deposits or charge cancellation fees. The saved card option appears during booking.
Charging a saved card
1. Click on Appointments.
2. Select the client you're invoicing and then Make Sale.
3. Click Take payment and then select the Saved card payment type.
4. Click Complete Sale to process the payment. The appointment total will be charged to the default saved card.
Disable 'Use default saved card if available'
1. To make Cardless Checkout the default option if clients have a card saved, go to Settings, and then Sales.
2. In the Cardless Checkout section, set Default to client's saved card if available to No. Then click Save.
Who can charge saved cards?
PIN access must be enabled for Cardless checkout transactions. This security step is required before staff can charge a saved card. Learn how to enable this here.
Staff members need to have permission to use Cardless checkout. In Kitomba 1 access levels, look for the permission called Charge a saved card to pay for an invoice and check it's enabled for the appropriate levels.
