Clients can now enter or update their own information directly on your mobile device. This helps reduce manual data entry and eliminates issues caused by unclear handwriting.
Follow the steps below to use Give to Client Mode in Kitomba 1.
1. Start a New or Existing Client Record
- Select Create new to add a new client,
or use Search for client if the client already exists. - Click Give to client to edit in Kitomba 1.
Note: All business and client data is protected while using Give to Client Mode.
2. Hand the Device to Your Client
- The client form will automatically appear.
- Pass the device to your client so they can enter or update their details.
- Once they’re finished, they tap Done at the bottom of the page.
3. Confirm the Update
After the client submits the form, you’ll see a confirmation message.
To continue:
- Enter your password,
or - enter your PIN.
4. Control Which Attributes Are Visible to Clients
By default, all client attributes from Kitomba (desktop) sync to Kitomba 1.
If you have internal‑use fields (e.g., colour notes) that you don’t want clients to see, you can hide them.
How to Hide Client Attributes
- In Kitomba (desktop), go to the Admin tab.
- Select Attributes.
- For each attribute you want to hide, check the option:
“Don’t show in customer history printout or new client form.”
Adding New Fields
If you need a new field for clients to complete:
- Click Create in the top right of the Attributes screen.
- New attributes will automatically appear in the client form on iPad/tablet.
