Collecting fees for late cancellations or no-shows keeps your revenue protected without the awkward chat about charging a fee.
To apply a cancellation fee
1. Click on the appointment on the calendar.
2. Update the appointment status to Cancelled or No-show.
3. If the appointment is cancelled outside of your cancellation policy, a prompt will appear asking to charge a cancellation fee. It automatically defaults to Yes, so select Next.
4. The saved card that the client added when booking the appointment will be automatically added as the payment type. Select Complete to process the payment.
5. Kitomba Pay will process the payment automatically and generate an invoice. The appointment will be cancelled, and a receipt will automatically be sent to the client.
Note: If there is an issue with charging the card, Kitomba 1 will let your team know, so that you can take payment using an alternate method, such as a Payment link. Learn more about sending payment links here.
